Mr. Bento in Hillsboro

Friendly staff and good food. The worst thing is trying to get to it. GPS leads you to believe you turn on Baseline, but make sure to turn on Shaleen, circling the block is not an option with lots of no outlet streets. The food was really good. One of the best chicken teriyaki I've had. The rice tasted like white rice even though it had a purplish tint to it. The pot stickers we're good and the tempura is some of the best I've had. Worth a visit.

Food quality was good and the service was nice. Normal place but the cleanliness was upto the mark. I will surely be back.

I think this is my new favorite restaurant. The food was very good, and the staff was very helpful. The soap ran out in the restroom and when I asked about it, they fixed it right away. Food came out quick. There's wifi as well. Prices are reasonable. Expect to eat for $10 to $15 for most meals.

1st time there. Ordered a side of the tempura shrimp. Only gave me 2!! Go figure. Spendy shrimp!

Home sick this season, and ordered takeout from mr.bento. arrived quickly and was the best meal I've had since this all started. Thank you mr.bento! Best I've felt all week!

The first time we went to Mr. Bento was when we came from Japan after a vacation. Our family misses some Japanese food like soba or udon soup and sukiyaki. So we tried Mr. Bento a semi bistro atmosphere restaurant that after we order our meal from the counter they will bring it to our table and then we can pick up our plate after meal and put it on the bin.We found out that their udon is authentic and taste like when we were in Japan and so is the grilled salmon. Their salad is fresh, has crunchy texture and taste good according to my palate. After that we keep coming to Mr. Bento and tried other dishes on their menu. Most of their foods are healthy food and have good smell.BTW their rest room is clean, decent and has nice smell hand soap. They have free wifi :)Over all I'll give them 5 stars and will recommend to others. Yes we brought some of our friends already and they like it.

Great bento bows, lots of options

I don't like writing 5 star reviews. I really don't. But Mr. Bento is absolutely fantastic. I've never been disappointed. The food is fantastic, and the service is generally friendly. Only downside is the wait occasionally, and the food doesn't always come out in a consistent order.

Really good. Love the variety of food in the bento box. Loved the yakisoba too!

Yokisobe was okay. The chicken teriyaki was weird though. I paid ten dollars and it was a small serving of chicken and some weird looking rice. Half of the plate was a salad that did not look or smell appealing. Would not come back here again.

Spicy chicken is on point...Spicy pork is similar to bulgogi but slightly more sweet. $10 a bento box is not the cheapest game in town, but nothing disappointed and the presentation is well done. Worth the trip!

This place is pretty consistant with food quality. You have to speak very clearly to the person who is taking your order or you end up with the wrong stuff.

Best bento in town

Very fast and ready with in minutes of placing order. Food was over all delicious although the salad could use a tad more dressing. Full-filling portions also, for $price. Not the happiest staff but im satisfied.

I was meeting a friend here and they confused this place for Mr. Bento Burger. I have been to both places and both places are worth visiting.I ordered the Beef Bento Box. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. You get your own drink and buss your own table. The food tastes great. The tempura shrimp and dumpling tastes great. The cucumbers are ok. The rice could be better. The salad with the breadsticks are amazing.

I _hate_ waiting my turn in line at the cash register to place my order, only to be told to wait further while he answers the phone and takes orders with me standing there. I should have called from my cell phone while standing in front of him so that my business warrants attention. If people are in line waiting to order, and then the phone rings, why in the world would their order jump ahead of customers who are already waiting?

I went for lunch at this place and was actually enjoying my food but unfortunately I found a hair within my food and when I went and told the staff the guy had the nerve to say I put it in there! WTF at least have some customer service skills and don’t blame a customer for the restaurant’s error 😡

I tried this for the first time the other week and my wife and I were both impressed. We had teriyaki and the udon soup, both were good with reasonable portions. My wife is a big fan of udon soup and was impressed with the soup here. We did a to-go order and the moved pretty fast. When I am in the area, I will definitely keep this on the list of places to stop by and grab lunch/dinner from

I placed a to go order for my lunch but I made a mistake and ordered from a different restaurant. That's fine but when I arrived and asked for my order and told her what I had ordered, the owner took my payment. However, she didn't tell me that she didn't have a to go order. She started making my order and I tried to stop her and clarify that my food should be ready. A different employee helped me figure out I was in the wrong place, but when I asked for a refund so I could go to the right place I was told to wait for my food and denied a refund. I wish it had just been communicated to me that they didn't have my order before I paid. I lost $10 and a lunch because I did not have time to wait for the food.

Best teriyaki in the northwest.Best chicken I've ever had!

Salad was a tad dry. Really earthy flavor as they do not use traditional greens like iceberg or romaine. The chicken was insane spicy. But so good. The shrimp and potstickers we're also good. Friendly service and not too bad atmosphere for a sit down. Good music. Make sure you get a fountain drink for you spicy lovers. I will probably be back but will definitely watch what I order as I left on a stretcher. Good portions.

The noodles and teriyaki chicken is incredibly great!! Service was quick and the place was very clean.

Got ripped off by giving a 50 and they didn't give change back when I asked for it 2nd time i tried it was to go and Gave me the rong order and did nothing about it and it wasn't good either definitely never going back

This place is my preferred one. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very warm and the cooking they serve is so appetizing. I would always prefer to have a decent meal in this place. I highly recommend this place.

This wasn't what I expected when I went in, I thought it would be more traditional bento box, but it was primarily hamburgers. I ended up staying because it looked and smelled good even if it was just glorified burgers, but I am glad I stayed, as it was very good! I ended up getting a burger on rice. Very juicy and tasty burger with great tasting teriyaki sauce soaked into it, and the rice was good quality as well. It came with a large salad too. All for less than $10. The employees were also very courteous. I definitely recommend this place, especially if wanting a quicker meal.

Amazing! Ordered food from them and it came only 30 minutes after ordering. Delicious bubble tea, boba cooked perfectly. Teriyaki chicken grilled to perfection. Plus, it was all so affordable! Would definitely recommend.
